Rugby Games

"Rugby is great. The players don't wear helmets or padding; they just beat the living daylights out of each other and then go for a beer. I love that" - Joe Theisman

The number 9 thing to do on my top ten list was go to a rugby game. In the past week I have been to two rugby games. The first one was the Sunday we came back from Port Stephens. This game was a charity pre season game for the Sydney Rabbitohs. The game was at the Sydney Olympic Park which is where all the venues are that held the Olympic Games in 2000. After the game I had a better understanding of rugby.

Since we had such a great time at the rugby game we chose to go to one on Friday night while we were in Melbourne. There are multiple variations of rugby and this game was a different variation that was supposedly the best kind. The Melbourne team was a brand new team and this was there first game. There was a lot of excitement around the city for this opening game. The team they were playing happened to be the Sydney Waratahs. Guess who we rooted for? The Waratahs of course.
